When talking about energy it is crucial to understand how to increase its levels naturally.

But before we talk about that, why is it important to maintain high levels of energy?

Energy is life. High levels of energy give us a state of mental clarity, emotional calm and physical alertness. All of those aspects help our productivity, which is a key to our work efficiency.

In the human body everything is interconnected. In order to improve performance results, we need to focus on internal processes first and foremost. If we get depleted on a mental emotional or physical level, we might experience lethargy, mental fog, and emotional fatigue and as a result our work will suffer.

In times of Covid-19, whiles social distancing and staying at home we might struggle to maintain high levels of energy, and simultaneously work productivity. In order to avoid being a victim of this, you need a targeted strategy for increasing your mental, emotional and physical energy to master your workflow and turn obstacles into possibilities.

Needless to say, relying on coffee, energy drinks and synthetic pills is not a holistic approach to health and lead to energy crashes or dependence.

Natural energy-boosters on the other hand can increase energy levels, improve your health and help reset your mind and mood.

Here are strategies you can engage into your everyday life in order to keep your body performance at its highest. For more practical strategies for your everyday and working life, join my Facebook group.

There are two ways to increase energy: physically and mentally/ emotionally. When used together they help you break through boundaries.

Physical strategies to increase energy levels

Establish a routine

Sleep, exercise and proper nutrition are key to health and high energy. In order to keep on top of your game you must incorporate all of those practices into your every day life, hence setting up a regular routine can help you execute this.

Eat healthy

Proper nutrition is at the center of your energy levels. Junk food, processed food and sugar lead to lethargy. In order to gain energy, you need a healthy diet that includes low-toxicity foods, purified water and essential oils.

Supplement your diet

Mitochondria, microscopic energy factories in our cells are responsible for producing energy. They need rich nutrients in order to operate appropriately. Even the most holistic diet is not enough to keep your nutrient game at the peak. High-quality supplements can help you fill those gaps and keep your body game at its best.

Exercise

Movement is energy and keeping your body in movement leads to more energy. Even as little as a 30 minute exercise can help your body regenerate more and boost your metabolism and.

Sleep

Sleep helps you regenerate and allows your body and mind to reset. It is important to get enough sleep and to have a routine around resting.

Drink water

Keep your body hydrated. We are 80% water.

Mental and emotional strategies to increase energy levels

If you lack inspiration and drive you might be experiencing low levels of emotional energy.

Mind and emotions are interconnected so it is important to work on your outlook in order to regain your emotional energy.

Movement meditation

Slow, mindful movement meditation can help you center yourself, calm your thoughts and in turn positively impact your emotions. Some people practice empowering self-talk to prepare for their day.

Learn to control your feelings

Letting your emotions control you can be energy draining and detrimental in creating healthy relationships. It is extremely important to learn to control your emotions. How to do that? It can be as simple as paying attention to the way you feel and observe the limiting beliefs that influence ways in which you can help. By identifying triggers and letting go of the past, you can become a master of your emotions and fill yourself with positive energy.

Embrace the concept that life is happening for you

We sometimes get beat down by life, and when that happens some of us may be asking ourselves: “Why is this happening to me?”. The key to increase energy is to look at life as if it is happening for you not to you. No matter the challenges if we look at life with gratitude and appreciation, we will cultivate positivity and remain emotionally healthy.

Viewing events as failures, setbacks or disappointments instantly put you in a position of a victim. You can appreciate failures and negative circumstances as events that happen for you to help you become a better version of yourself. The challenges they carry often motivate you to think about ways in which you can overcome those challenges and as you do so, you gain the ability of strength, which nothing in life could teach you more about, than those exact roadblocks. When you see reality in this positive light and you focus on the path life is laying out for you, energy flows into everything you do.

Watch your words

Your self-talk and conversations with others often act as a personal mantra. We might not notice how often, things we say reflect and re-affirm the reality we live in. If you are constantly telling yourself: “I am so tired”, “I am having the worst day” you will believe it and your body will respond accordingly.

Learn how to increase your energy by transforming your words into positive ones.

Do not engage in draining conversations of complaining, instead use up-beat language to increase your energy levels and influence the reality of people around you by spreading positivity.

In times of Covid-19 we have to turn into a sense of personal responsibility to keep our performance at its highest.
